The wisdom of the 7 capsules

facebooktwitterlinkedinby feathershefa-web Introduction

This is a short story about self- discovery through exploring our relationship with money.

Because money touches every part of our life, understanding it must lead to understanding the purpose of our life. Life and money are deeply connected.

My hope is that sharing my own personal money journey and the hundreds of money stories I have heard over the last dozen years as a financial advisor, educator, coach and friend, will help illuminate your own journey. This is a lonely journey. But we all must go through it, no matter how painful.

Although the story is fictional and written using a fairy-tale construct, the reader will soon recognize a familiarity to it. The characters in the story may remind the reader of the obstacles they face. But despite the hardships, what keeps us going? What keeps us fighting? It’s a quiet voice which fuels our search for self-discovery. Even after years of people telling you to stop trying to connect to this voice, it can’t be silenced.

Sometimes those closest to you are the ones screaming the loudest, distracting you from your path. Their voice like knife picks, piercing your skin. Don’t do this, don’t do that, they say. It’s that emotional hurt that must be healed, or you will live a life that is unfulfilled.

But you know deep down that to ignore this voice will cause profound pain; and that no matter how hard others try to silence it, the voice will not be smothered.

This voice has a different quality than the monkey chatter which drives fear and greed.

The voice I’m describing transcends the intellectual mind itself. It’s like the white screen behind the movie. It was always there, and will always be there. It’s the primal force which keeps us connected and connects us to our bigger self. It’s our authentic voice. It’s who we are, and it fuels our inner peace and freedom. This real voice I’m describing is the source of perfect wealth. The perfect triad: Physical- Spiritual- Financial health.

This voice is your path of self-discovery. Follow Emily’s journey as she connects to her voice through the wisdom of the 7 capsules.

The journey continues…
