According to a recent survey by Siegel & Gale1, one out of three investors say their brokerage statements are difficult to understand and even more challenging than cell phone guides.   1. There’s actually a company whose sole purpose is making sense of brokerage statements. It’s What they do is analyze your history of statements and give you a one page summary of the most important things you need to know about your account (like your rate of return and comparison to the market) that is really easy to read.
